How to Find Your IP Address on Mac
Using the Terminal
The Terminal app is a powerful tool that allows you to access a wealth of information about your Mac, including your IP address. To find your IP address using the Terminal, follow these steps:
- Open the Terminal app.
- Type the following command:
ifconfig
- Press Enter.
Your IP address will be listed under the "inet" section.
Using Network Preferences
You can also find your IP address in the Network Preferences panel. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click on the Apple menu.
- Select System Preferences.
- Click on Network.
Your IP address will be listed next to the name of your active network connection.
